Our work
The Bridge Group is a non-profit consultancy that uses research to promote social equality.
We do this by supporting organisations of all kinds with independent expertise, research and practical know-how to enable them to make real and lasting impact on socio-economic diversity and social equality.
Our objective is to make real and meaningful change, now. And our vision is a higher education system and labour market where outcomes are determined by competence and hard work, and not by socio-economic background.
Research explores the connection between academic skills, sense of belonging, and financial pressures during university, and how they impact student success, especially for students from less advantaged backgrounds.
Largest-ever study into socio-economic diversity and progression in financial services shows improvements, but work still needs to be done. Research undertaken by the Bridge Group for not-for-profit membership body Progress Together.
A recent survey conducted by Uptree, in partnership with the Bridge Group, sheds light on young people’s work experiences and identifies barriers to attendance..
Clients + supporters
We work with organisations of all sizes and at all stages who want to address social inequality. Our clients include employers, charities, universities and outreach providers. We can help you by analysing your situation and assessing what action you should take. If you already have programmes in place, we can assess whether they are helping you to meet your aims, and suggest improvements. We also undertake our own research into broader issues of social equality, with the support of grants from foundations and employers.
